Along with ALL the infrastructure requirements, local authority drainage connections (off site), 278 works, full drainage construction (including pump station if required), main service provision and full highway construction through maintenance period to adoption.

AJ Loveland Ltd specialise in all aspects of education-based construction, whether that be a new school building, the addition of a classroom to an existing building, sports halls or internal and external sport-specific surfaces and facilities.  We also have specific expertise in special needs provision and access control.


For a number of years, A J Loveland Ltd has played a key role in the development / refurbishment of existing railway arches in key city centre locations into lettable space for Spacia, the property arm of Network Rail.

AJ Loveland Ltd has been Principal Contractor on many multi-million pound schemes in Manchester, Leeds, Huddersfield and Newcastle.

Due to the rigorous inspection regime carried out by NR, all fit outs are constructed (including laser surveyed internal curved cladding) so they are fully demountable once every five years, which makes these particular works extremely specialist.

Advanced building pathology techniques and knowledge of historic buildings and monuments combined with the use of non destructive testing methods ensures we obtain the correct information at the early stages to allow accurate diagnose of cause,

consequence, allowing remedial solutions to be developed that address the problem without detriment to the structure.

Development of Heritage Statements, Conservation Plans and Management Strategies for heritage assets ensures sustainable evolution of historic buildings and monuments so that significance is not merely retained but where possible enhanced.

Traditional masonry skills ensure honesty, integrity and harmony with original construction methods.

All projects are managed and delivered by our in house conservation expert to ensure they receive a suitable level of skill and professional attention throughout.


A varied spread of works to both NHS and private medical sites has been delivered. These include the provision in full of the endoscopy department and HDU department at Claremont Hospital in Sheffield. We also installed the operating theatre and ancillary support department in Queen Square Bristol, for Bristol Plastic Surgery.

Other schemes have included the IT training facility at Barnsley NHS Trust, and various car parks and small building and civil engineering works at Northern General and Hallamshire Hospitals in Sheffield, and Rotherham General Hospital and Doncaster Gate Hospital in Rotherham.


AJ Loveland Ltd is happy to help clients develop existing assets or land owned in a JV relationship. Many clients prefer to have a contractor on board at an early stage in the design process, to eliminate buildability issues and embrace BIM requirements in the fledgling stage of the scheme.

The project can then be delivered in a transparent ‘open book’ format with the fee being an agreed percentage of project cost. This gives many clients the comfort of controlling the costs throughout the process, and ensures client value for money upon delivery.
